About Us
Welcome to Old Bailey Chambers
Old Bailey Chambers combines formidable strengths in criminal law and regulatory work with a friendly and open approach to client service. The set mixes experienced, market-leading silks with fiercely talented juniors.
Established to meet the needs of a rapidly changing legal environment in the 21st century, Chambers’ origins are firmly rooted in criminal law with particular expertise in fraud and serious crime. Heads of Chambers Mohammed Khamisa QC and Ben Aina QC combine considerable expertise as Standing Counsel to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office and the Serious Fraud Office panel of Queen’s Counsel, together with exceptional defence practices, bringing together 50 years’ experience at the criminal Bar.
In addition, Chambers is continuing to develop the very considerable talents of its junior tenants, each of whom has particular experience in Chambers’ areas of expertise across a broad range of clientele, both private and publicly funded. All members of Chambers are committed to providing the highest quality of service both to our professional and lay clients, and to achieving the best possible outcome in every case. Many of our junior tenants combine established defence and prosecution practices, and are frequently instructed by the CPS, Serious Fraud Office, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and on behalf of the Attorney General.
We are fortunate to have splendid, state of the art accommodation that combines the elegance of Victorian architecture with the most up to date technology that reflects the ideology behind Old Bailey Chambers to combine tradition with modernity. At Old Bailey Chambers we can offer a choice of boardrooms for consultations and conferences. Further rooms can be provided for conducting negotiations. Videoconferencing facilities are also available.
Chambers has invested heavily in information technology and our premises are fully networked. All members of Chambers are up to speed on changes in the law, having access to a full range of law reports together with a large range of other source materials including key online databases.
